This is a great point. I helped to organize the Santa Cruz CA faction of the Walk for Choice last February, and one hesitation that I had was that I personally was walking for my choice. But I was also walking for access, and sometimes choice had to take the back-seat to that. For so many women, it wasn't about being allowed to get an abortion or use birth control, but about getting to the nearest clinic, paying, engaging their partner in the decision, understanding the dominant language spoken at the clinic, understanding exactly what they needed, etc. So yes, reproductive justice might be a better way to phrase it. I will continue to lutar for choice, but justice is first on my agenda.

In the past few weeks here in Mississippi, the bill did not pass to declare life at the time of fertilization. Baby steps. Yes, baby steps.
