Here at NLIRH we have been happy to bring you 20 DAYS of ACA to lift Latina voices in support of health care reform.
Today, we want to let you know about some of our organizational partners are doing online and in their communities to speak out for health and health reform.
MomsRising is hosting a blog carnival – The Affordable Care Act and Latino Families – which share personal stories of Latina moms, thoughts from Congressional leaders like Senator Robert Menendez (NJ), Congressman Luis Gutierrez (IL-4th), and Congressman Raul Grijalva (AZ-7th), and educational resources from awesome groups like Colorado Organization for Latina Opportunity and Reproductive Rights (COLOR) about how the law has and will benefit Latino families.
This week, Raising Women’s Voices for the Health Care We Need launched Countdown to Coverage, a resource to help women understand when key parts of the law go into effect and how the reforms will benefit them.
And last but not least,
HERVotes, a coalition of women’s organizations mobilizing for health and economic rights, is hosting a blog carnival to amplify what women have and will gain thanks to health reform. The carnival includes posts from Sarah Audelo at Advocates for Youth here and Dania Palanker with the National Women’s Law Center and I Will NOT Be Denied campaign here.
Stay posted for more in 20 DAYS of ACA!
